Some of my favorite things to do in San Francisco include visiting Alcatraz Island, walking along Fisherman’s Wharf, and exploring Golden Gate Park. The city has a vibrant arts scene, with numerous theaters, galleries, and museums to explore. Plus, the food in San Francisco is fantastic, with a wide variety of international cuisines to try.

2. Yosemite National Park

   Yosemite National Park is a natural wonderland, with towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and giant sequoia trees. I highly recommend hiking to the top of Half Dome for an unforgettable view of the park. Yosemite is also a great place for camping, rock climbing, and wildlife watching. Just be sure to pack warm clothes, as it can get chilly at night.

3. Los Angeles

   Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, with Hollywood, Universal Studios, and the Walk of Fame. But there’s more to LA than just movies and TV shows. I love visiting the Getty Museum for its stunning architecture and art collection, as well as strolling along the Venice Beach Boardwalk for its eclectic street performers and vendors. And of course, no trip to LA is complete without a visit to the Santa Monica Pier.

   San Diego is a laid-back city with a beautiful coastline and plenty of outdoor activities. I recommend checking out the San Diego Zoo for its impressive collection of animals, as well as exploring Balboa Park for its museums and gardens. The Gaslamp Quarter is also a great place to go for nightlife and dining.

5. Lake Tahoe

   Lake Tahoe is a stunning alpine lake located in the Sierra Nevada mountains. In the winter, it’s a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding, while in the summer, you can go hiking, boating, or swimming. The area is also home to several casinos and resorts, making it a great place for a weekend getaway.

   Joshua Tree National Park is a unique desert landscape filled with otherworldly rock formations and the famous Joshua trees. It’s a great place for hiking, stargazing, and rock climbing. I recommend visiting in the spring or fall when the weather is mild and the crowds are smaller.
