The statistics are alarming, and the consequences are devastating. In this article, I will explore the psycho-academic holocaust that is happening in our schools and offer solutions for how we can make a change.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_the_Psycho-Academic_Holocaust\"><\/span>What is the Psycho-Academic Holocaust?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The psycho-academic holocaust refers to the systematic destruction of the minds and spirits of black boys through the overdiagnosis of ADHD and the overrepresentation in special education programs. According to recent studies, black boys are three times more likely than white boys to be diagnosed with ADHD and five times more likely to be placed in special education programs.
