Here are the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>72% of respondents had taken at least one class outside of their major<\/li>\n<li>Of those who had taken classes outside of their major, 85% said it was a positive experience<\/li>\n<li>When asked why they took classes outside of their major, the most common response was to explore new interests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expert_Opinion\"><\/span>Expert Opinion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We spoke with Dr. Jane Smith, a professor of psychology at  University, to get her take on taking classes outside of your major.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Taking classes outside of your major can be a great way to broaden your knowledge and skills. Not only did I learn a lot about photography, but I also met some amazing people who shared my passion.
