In honor of Earth Day, I have put together some fun and interactive activities that can be done remotely.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_is_Earth_Day_Important\"><\/span>Why is Earth Day Important?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and is now recognized in over 193 countries.<\/li>\n<li>It serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our planet and taking action to reduce our impact on the environment.<\/li>\n<li>It is a day to raise awareness about environmental issues and to encourage individuals to take action.<\/li>\n<li>It provides an opportunity to learn about sustainability and how we can make a difference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Activities_for_Remote_Learning\"><\/span>Activities for Remote Learning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Virtual_Field_Trips\"><\/span>1.
