face in their academic journeys. Online education has opened up new opportunities for these students, but finding the right college can still be overwhelming. That\u2019s why I have compiled this guide to help students with learning disabilities find the right college for them.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_a_learning_disability\"><\/span>What is a learning disability?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A learning disability is a neurological disorder that affects a person\u2019s ability to process information. It can impact a person\u2019s ability to read, write, speak, listen, and do math. Common learning disabilities include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_is_finding_the_right_college_important\"><\/span>Why is finding the right college important?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>College is a time of growth and self-discovery, but it can also be stressful for students with learning disabilities. Finding the right college can make all the difference in a student\u2019s academic success and personal well-being. A college that provides support for students with learning disabilities can help them thrive academically and socially.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_should_students_with_learning_disabilities_look_for_in_a_college\"><\/span>What should students with learning disabilities look for in a college?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When researching colleges, students with learning disabilities should consider the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic support services, such as tutoring and study skills classes<\/li>\n<li>Disability services office with experienced staff<\/li>\n<li>Accessible campus with assistive technology<\/li>\n<li>Supportive community, including peer mentoring programs and disability student organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Survey_results\"><\/span>Survey results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In a recent survey of students with learning disabilities, 75% of respondents said that they struggled to find a college that provided adequate support for their needs. However, 80% of those who received support reported that it was helpful in their academic success.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Studies_and_data_analysis\"><\/span>Studies and data analysis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A study conducted by the National Center for Learning Disabilities found that students with learning disabilities who received support in college were more likely to graduate than those who did not receive support.
