According to a report by the United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (UNICEF), there have been over 1,000 reported cases of kidnapping of schoolchildren in Nigeria since 2013.<\/p>\n<p>These kidnappings are often carried out by armed groups, who target boarding schools due to the vulnerability of the students and the potential for large ransoms. According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, 45% of Nigerians believe that online education is a good alternative to traditional schooling.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Chinwe Obaji, an education expert, believes that online education can be a viable alternative for Nigerian students. Online education can provide students with access to quality education without the risks involved in attending boarding schools.
