It is a day to pay tribute to those who have served our country in times of war and peace.<\/p>\n<p>As educators, it is important that we teach our students the significance of Veterans Day and the bravery of those who have served. This not only honors our veterans, but also instills patriotism and respect in our future generations.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Schools_Celebrate_Veterans_Day\"><\/span>How Schools Celebrate Veterans Day<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Schools across America celebrate Veterans Day in a variety of ways. Here are some of the most common ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holding assemblies or ceremonies featuring guest speakers and veterans<\/li>\n<li>Inviting veterans to classrooms to share their experiences<\/li>\n<li>Crafting patriotic decorations and posters<\/li>\n<li>Writing letters of appreciation to veterans<\/li>\n<li>Creating care packages for deployed service members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Survey_Results\"><\/span>Survey Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A recent survey conducted by the National Association of Elementary School Principals found that 98% of schools celebrate Veterans Day in some way. Of those schools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>67% hold assemblies or ceremonies<\/li>\n<li>55% invite veterans to classrooms to share their experiences<\/li>\n<li>51% craft patriotic decorations and posters<\/li>\n<li>46% write letters of appreciation to veterans<\/li>\n<li>37% create care packages for deployed service members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expert_Opinion\"><\/span>Expert Opinion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>According to Dr. John Q.
