With the start of a new semester, many are wondering what to expect from their universities and how their education will be impacted. After conducting extensive research and speaking with experts in the field, here is what students can expect from the upcoming semester.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Universities_Are_Doing_to_Ensure_a_Safer_Environment\"><\/span>What Universities Are Doing to Ensure a Safer Environment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Universities across the country have made significant efforts to provide a safer environment for students, faculty, and staff. Here are some of the measures that have been implemented:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mandatory mask-wearing in all indoor spaces<\/li>\n<li>Increased cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas<\/li>\n<li>Reduced capacity in classrooms and common areas<\/li>\n<li>Hybrid or fully online class options for students<\/li>\n<li>Regular COVID-19 testing and contact tracing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Results_of_a_Recent_Survey\"><\/span>Results of a Recent Survey<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A recent survey conducted by the American Council on Education found that 85% of universities plan to offer in-person classes this spring.
