With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing schools to close their doors and switch to remote learning, online education has become more important than ever before. In this article, I will explore the state of online education in Nevada and why it is falling behind other states.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_Nevada_Million_K12_Education\"><\/span>What is Nevada Million K12 Education?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Nevada Million K12 Education is an initiative launched by the Nevada Department of Education that aims to provide quality education to every student in the state. The initiative aims to improve the education system by investing in technology, teacher training, and curriculum development.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_State_of_Online_Education_in_Nevada\"><\/span>The State of Online Education in Nevada<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite the efforts of Nevada Million K12 Education, the state is falling behind in online education. According to a survey conducted by the Nevada Department of Education, only 29% of high school students in the state have access to a device for online learning, compared to the national average of 58%.
