In fact, in 2023, an estimated 5.8 million students in the United States were enrolled in some form of online school. But online school has its drawbacks as well. Here, we explore what are the disadvantages of online school.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Personal_Interaction\"><\/span>Personal Interaction<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the key drawbacks to online school is the lack of personal interaction. For many students, especially those who are young, having a face-to-face interaction with a teacher is important for a successful learning experience. In traditional classrooms, students can ask questions and receive immediate feedback from the teacher. In an online learning environment, students must rely on digital forums or email for assistance, which can be a slow and cumbersome process.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, for students who thrive on collaboration and social interaction, being restricted to an online environment can be particularly challenging. I think it\u2019s important to stay in touch with your teachers and ask for help when you need it.\u201d \u2013High school senior.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI\u2019ve found that the technical challenges can be frustrating, but if you\u2019re prepared and take the time to troubleshoot, you can usually get back on track.\u201d \u2013College student.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI like the freedom of online school and I\u2019m able to get more done when I\u2019m not in a traditional classroom.
