In this article, I&#8217;ll guide you through the process step by step, so you can start sewing in no time!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Curiosities_Statistics_and_Facts\"><\/span>Curiosities, Statistics, and Facts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Did you know that the first sewing machine was invented in 1790 by Thomas Saint?<\/li>\n<li>According to a survey, 63% of Americans have a sewing machine at home.<\/li>\n<li>Threading a sewing machine is one of the most important steps in sewing, but it&#8217;s also one of the most challenging for beginners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_by_Step_Guide\"><\/span>Step by Step Guide<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before you start threading your sewing machine, make sure you have the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A spool of thread<\/li>\n<li>A bobbin<\/li>\n<li>A needle<\/li>\n<li>A sewing machine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have everything you need, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn off your sewing machine and unplug it from the power source.<\/li>\n<li>Place your spool of thread on the spool pin and secure it with the spool holder.<\/li>\n<li>Take the end of the thread and pass it through the thread guide at the top of your sewing machine.<\/li>\n<li>Bring the thread down and pass it through the tension discs. Make sure the thread goes in between the discs and not around them.<\/li>\n<li>Take the thread and pass it through the take-up lever from right to left.<\/li>\n<li>Bring the thread down and pass it through the needle bar thread guide.<\/li>\n<li>Thread the needle from front to back and leave a tail of about 6 inches.<\/li>\n<li>Take the bobbin and place it in the bobbin case. Make sure the thread is going in the right direction. Consult your sewing machine manual if you&#8217;re not sure.<\/li>\n<li>Pull the thread through the slot in the bobbin case and under the tension spring.<\/li>\n<li>Place the bobbin case in the shuttle race and close the shuttle cover.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the handwheel towards you to bring the needle down and then back up again.
