This means removing the internal organs to prevent the meat from spoiling. To do this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a cut around the neck and loosen the skin around the neck and head.<\/li>\n<li>Use the bone saw to cut through the spinal column at the base of the skull.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the head and set it aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Skinning\"><\/span>Step 3: Skinning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s time to skin the deer. This can be done using a variety of techniques, but I prefer the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a cut down the inside of each leg, from the ankle to the belly.<\/li>\n<li>Make a cut around the anus and genitals to free the skin in that area.<\/li>\n<li>Make a cut from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.<\/li>\n<li>Use your fingers to separate the skin from the body, working carefully to avoid cutting through the skin.<\/li>\n<li>Once the skin is completely separated, use the hunting knife to cut off any remaining connective tissue.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the skin and set it aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Removing_the_Meat\"><\/span>Step 4: Removing the Meat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With the skin removed, it&#8217;s time to remove the meat from the deer.
