comfortable and elegant outfits for women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As someone who grew up in India, I have been wearing sarees for as long as I can remember. I have worn sarees to weddings, festivals, and even to work. Every time I wear a saree, I feel confident, beautiful, and proud of my culture. In this article, I will share with you my personal experience of tying a saree step by step.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Choose_the_Right_Saree\"><\/span>Step 1: Choose the Right Saree<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The first step in tying a saree is to choose the right one. You can choose a saree based on the occasion, your body type, and your personal preference. There are various types of sarees available such as Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Chiffon, and Georgette. Make sure you choose a saree that is comfortable to wear and suits your style.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Prepare_Yourself\"><\/span>Step 2: Prepare Yourself<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before you start tying the saree, make sure you are wearing the right undergarments. You will need a petticoat, which is a long skirt worn under the saree, and a blouse, which is a fitted top that covers your upper body. Make sure the petticoat and blouse match the saree in terms of color and design.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Tuck_the_Saree\"><\/span>Step 3: Tuck the Saree<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Start by tucking the saree into the petticoat at the navel, and make one complete round around your waist from right to left, bringing the saree to the front. Ensure that the saree is neither too loose nor too tight. Tuck the saree into the petticoat at the center of the waist at the front.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Make_Pleats\"><\/span>Step 4: Make Pleats<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Take the saree from the left-hand side and start making pleats of about 5-6 inches deep, and make around 5 to 7 pleats. Ensure that the pleats are uniform in size and then tuck them into the petticoat, slightly towards the left of the navel.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_5_Make_the_Pallu\"><\/span>Step 5: Make the Pallu<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The pallu is the loose end of the saree that is thrown over the shoulder. Take the remaining saree and make a pallu of about 1 to 2 meters in length, depending on your preference. Hold the pallu and bring it over the left shoulder and secure it with a pin.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_6_Adjust_the_Saree\"><\/span>Step 6: Adjust the Saree<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once you have made the pleats and the pallu, adjust the saree to ensure that it is draped evenly and looks neat. Make sure that the pleats are facing towards the left and the pallu is falling elegantly over your left shoulder.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_7_Accessories\"><\/span>Step 7: Accessories<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can accessorize your saree with various items such as bangles, earrings, and necklaces.
