Then, I sketched out the barn on my paper, using a pencil and ruler to get the proportions right. I added some trees and grass around the barn to make the scene more interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Next, I applied masking tape to the areas of the paper where I wanted to preserve the white of the paper. This would create a crisp edge around the barn and make it stand out from the background.<\/p>\n<p>Then, I began to paint. I started with a light wash of blue for the sky, gradually adding more color and texture as I went along. For the barn, I used a mixture of browns, yellows, and oranges to create the weathered wood look.
