This is a classic card trick that is sure to impress. Here’s how it works:
- Choose a card from the deck and show it to your audience.
- Place the card back in the deck and shuffle the cards.
- Ask your audience member to pick a card from the deck.
- As they look at their card, secretly bring the chosen card to the top of the deck.
- Place the deck on the table and ask the audience member to place their card on top of the deck.
- Wave your hand over the deck and say a magic word.
- Spread the cards out and show that the audience member’s card has risen to the top of the deck, even though they placed it on top.
The Four Aces
This trick involves finding all four aces in the deck. Here’s how to do it:
- Shuffle the deck and ask an audience member to cut it in half.
- Ask them to choose one of the halves and then cut that in half as well.
- Ask them to pick one of those halves and place it on the table.
- Take the remaining half and show that the four aces are on top of the deck.
- Place the four aces face down on the table and then turn over the top card of the remaining half of the deck.
- It will be an ace. Repeat this step until all four aces have been revealed.
