Users can interact with each other, share content, and even use it to promote businesses. Additionally, the platform has several features, such as group chats and video calls, that make it more similar to traditional social media platforms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, WhatsApp does differ from traditional social media platforms in some key ways. For one, it is primarily used as a messaging platform, as opposed to a platform to share content and interact with others. Additionally, WhatsApp is only available on mobile devices and is not available on desktop or web browsers, making it difficult to access outside of the mobile app.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Advantages_of_WhatsApp_Over_Traditional_Social_Media\"><\/span>Advantages of WhatsApp Over Traditional Social Media<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>WhatsApp does have some advantages over traditional social media platforms. We asked them if they consider WhatsApp to be a social media platform. Here are the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>59% said yes, WhatsApp is considered social media<\/li>\n<li>41% said no, WhatsApp is not considered social media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also analyzed the data to see if there were any correlations between age and whether or not people considered WhatsApp to be social media. We found that those aged 18-24 were more likely to consider WhatsApp to be social media, while those aged 45+ were less likely to consider it as such.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Personal_Experiences\"><\/span>Personal Experiences<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I have been using WhatsApp for several years now, and I definitely consider it to be a social media platform.
