In addition, the pink tax means that women are paying more for the same products as men. This can lead to financial strain and even cause women to miss school or work because they cannot afford menstrual products.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the stigma surrounding menstrual cycles can make it difficult for women to discuss their needs and advocate for themselves. It&#8217;s time for the government to step in and recognize that menstrual products are a necessity and should not be taxed as a luxury item, says Rep.
