However, for the general population, the evidence is less clear.<\/p>\n<p>One study published in the journal <i>Medicine &#038; Science in Sports &#038; Exercise<\/i> found that custom-made insoles could improve running performance and reduce the risk of injury. However, these were not the same as the mass-produced insoles advertised on TV.<\/p>\n<p>Another study published in the <i>Journal of Foot and Ankle Research<\/i> found that there was no significant difference in comfort or pressure distribution between different types of insoles.<\/p>\n<p>So while insoles may provide some benefits for certain people, it&#8217;s important to remember that not all insoles are created equal.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"My_Personal_Experience\"><\/span>My Personal Experience<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I decided to try out a pair of As Seen on TV insoles in my running shoes.
