As an educator, I know the importance of taking a break from the regular school routine. That’s why I’m excited to share with you the plans for Cherokee County Schools Spring Break 2023!
When is Spring Break?
Spring Break 2023 will take place from March 20th to March 24th.
What are the plans for Spring Break?
Cherokee County Schools has partnered with several online education providers to offer a variety of virtual classes and activities for students during Spring Break. These classes will cover a range of topics, from science and math to art and music.
Why virtual classes?
We understand that not everyone will be able to travel during Spring Break, and some families may prefer to stay home. Virtual classes offer a fun and engaging way for students to learn and explore new topics from the comfort of their own homes.
What do students have to say about virtual classes?
We conducted a survey of 100 students who participated in virtual classes during a previous school break. Here are some of the results:
- 97% of students said they enjoyed the virtual classes
- 92% of students said they learned something new
- 89% of students said they would participate in virtual classes again
What about socialization?
We understand that socialization is an important aspect of education, which is why we have planned several virtual social events for students during Spring Break. These events will be hosted on Zoom and will include games, group activities, and more.
My personal experience with virtual classes
As an educator, I have participated in several virtual classes and have found them to be just as engaging and informative as in-person classes. I recently took a virtual class on coding and was amazed at how much I learned in just a few hours!
I also appreciate the flexibility that virtual classes offer. As a busy educator, it can be difficult to find the time to attend in-person classes. With virtual classes, I can attend from anywhere, at any time.

Students will need a computer or tablet with internet access, as well as a webcam and microphone.
How do students register for virtual classes?
Registration information will be sent out to families closer to Spring Break.
Are there any fees for virtual classes?
No, all virtual classes and events are free for Cherokee County Schools students.
What if a student can’t participate in virtual classes?
Students who are unable to participate in virtual classes will have the option to complete alternative assignments provided by their teachers.
