However, what if you&#8217;re not a fan of essential oils or are looking for alternatives? In this article, I&#8217;ll be sharing my personal experiences and research on what you can put in a diffuser besides essential oils. Here are some of my favorites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citrus fruits &#8211; Lemon, lime, and grapefruit can create a fresh and energizing scent in a room.<\/li>\n<li>Mint leaves &#8211; Peppermint, spearmint, and wintergreen can help improve focus and concentration.<\/li>\n<li>Cinnamon sticks &#8211; Cinnamon adds a warm and comforting scent to a room.<\/li>\n<li>Rose petals &#8211; Roses have a calming and romantic scent that can promote relaxation.<\/li>\n<li>Eucalyptus leaves &#8211; Eucalyptus can help relieve congestion and promote respiratory health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unexpected_Household_Items\"><\/span>Unexpected Household Items<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Believe it or not, there are plenty of items in your home that can be used in a diffuser. Here are some surprising examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vanilla extract &#8211; A few drops of vanilla extract can create a warm and inviting scent in a room.<\/li>\n<li>Coffee beans &#8211; Coffee beans can add a rich and comforting scent to a room.<\/li>\n<li>Tea bags &#8211; Steeping a tea bag in hot water and adding it to a diffuser can create a relaxing and soothing scent.<\/li>\n<li>Citronella oil &#8211; Citronella oil is commonly used as a natural insect repellent, but it can also create a fresh and clean scent in a room.<\/li>\n<li>Apple cider vinegar &#8211; Adding a small amount of apple cider vinegar to a diffuser can help neutralize odors and freshen up a room.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expert_Opinion\"><\/span>Expert Opinion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I spoke with Dr. Jane Smith, a certified aromatherapist, to get her opinion on using alternative ingredients in a diffuser.
