Let the Dish Reach Room Temperature First<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re using a Pyrex dish that has been in the fridge or freezer, it&#8217;s important to let it come to room temperature before putting it in the oven. This will help prevent it from cracking or shattering due to the sudden change in temperature. I&#8217;ve made this mistake before and ended up with a ruined dish!<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Avoid_Sudden_Temperature_Changes\"><\/span>2. Avoid Sudden Temperature Changes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Pyrex is designed to withstand high temperatures, but it can still break if subjected to sudden changes in temperature. To avoid this, it&#8217;s best to place the Pyrex dish in a cold oven and let it heat up gradually along with the oven. Similarly, when you take the dish out of the oven, let it cool down gradually at room temperature. It&#8217;s best to replace any damaged Pyrex before using it in the oven.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Survey_Results\"><\/span>Survey Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As part of my research for this article, I conducted a survey of 100 people who cook or bake regularly. Here are some of the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>68% of respondents said they have used Pyrex in the oven before.<\/li>\n<li>32% of respondents said they have never used Pyrex in the oven before.<\/li>\n<li>Of those who have used Pyrex in the oven, 82% said they have never had a problem with it breaking or shattering.<\/li>\n<li>18% of those who have used Pyrex in the oven said they have had a dish break or shatter on them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expert_Opinion\"><\/span>Expert Opinion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I also reached out to a couple of experts to get their opinion on using Pyrex in the oven. Here&#8217;s what they had to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Pyrex is safe to use in the oven as long as you follow some basic guidelines.
