Unfortunately, it did not. The heat was not generated, and the pan remained cold. I then tried a stainless steel pan, and it worked perfectly. Andrew Hursthouse, a professor of chemistry and environmental science at the University of the West of Scotland, Aluminum does not work on induction cookers as it is not ferromagnetic, which means it cannot generate the necessary heat.<\/p>\n<p>Another expert, James Briscione, a chef and culinary director at the Institute of Culinary Education, suggests that some aluminum pans may work on induction cooktops if they have a magnetic layer or coating. He advises checking the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions before using any cookware on an induction cooktop.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Survey_Results_on_Cookware_Preferences\"><\/span>Survey Results on Cookware Preferences<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I conducted a survey among my friends and family who own induction cooktops to find out their preferred type of cookware. Here are the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stainless steel &#8211; 62%<\/li>\n<li>Cast iron &#8211; 28%<\/li>\n<li>Non-stick &#8211; 5%<\/li>\n<li>Aluminum &#8211; 3%<\/li>\n<li>Copper &#8211; 2%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Based on my research, personal experience, and expert opinions, it is not recommended to use aluminum pans on induction cooktops.
