Summary

Unfortunately, Ruth soon discovers that Mr. Benson is a gambler and deeply in debt. After he dies, Ruth and her baby are thrown out of the cottage. With nowhere else to go, Ruth returns to her family and her faith. Despite her initial reluctance, Ruth begins to find comfort in her faith, and she eventually finds peace and redemption.
