Plot Summary

Hot Six follows Stephanie Plum as she attempts to locate Maxine Nowicki, a woman wanted for fraud. Maxine has apparently gone on the run, leaving her husband, Bernie, behind. Stephanie is aided in her search by her mentor and sometime-lover, Ranger, as well as her colleague and sometime-lover, Morelli. Along the way, Stephanie also encounters a mysterious figure known as The Dealer, who appears to be involved in Maxine’s disappearance.

As Stephanie continues to search for Maxine, she discovers that the woman is actually a wanted criminal. She eventually locates Maxine, but finds herself in a race against time to keep her from leaving the country. Stephanie eventually manages to apprehend Maxine, but not before she is able to escape with the help of The Dealer. In the end, Stephanie manages to capture Maxine and brings her to justice.
