This is much lower compared to other regions such as Europe and North America. Additionally, there is a huge gap between urban and rural education access in Latin America.
Another challenge that Latin America faces is the lack of investment in education. Many countries in the region have low budgets for education, resulting in inadequate resources, outdated curriculums, and poorly trained teachers.
Efforts to Improve Education in Latin America
Despite the challenges, there are efforts being made to improve education in Latin America. One example is the Escuela Nueva (New School) model, which has been implemented in several Latin American countries. This model emphasizes interactive and student-centered learning, and has shown promising results in improving student performance.
